yes, this is why there's such a fuss about 'hindu terrorists' in malegaon.

christist terrorist == mohdan terrorist == hindu terrorist is the equation they want to create.

however, there is no such thing as a hindu terrorist, just like there's no jesus or thomas, nor adam (of bridge fame). they are all figments of the imagination.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->(Also read the interesting comments there about the alleged rape of a nun in Orissa.)

Subsequent ones are all at Offstumped. Good to go through all of them, but here are some excerpts:

c.
The hunt for the elusive un-Hindu Terrorist
(posted by Shambhu in another IF thread)
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Two stories in the Indian Express and the NDTV have caught Offstumped’s attention courtesy fellow INI bloggers.

The stories are striking for all the wrong reasons. With neither attributable sources nor a respect for accuracy of facts, both the stories feed into insinuations and rumors that have been doing the rounds for some time now by known apologists of Jihadi Terrorism.

While the story in the Indian Express names the Hindu Jagaran Manch and gets very specific about the group being based in Indore and having links to the ABVP it neither explains what it means “by links to ABVP” nor does it name who the Police sources for this story.

The second story in the NDTV is a disgrace to journalism or any kind of news reporting. It is careless in its reportage by referring to single instances of 1 bomb blast in each city by characterising them as “multiple blasts” while being stunningly thin in its details.

We will hopefully in the days to come learn more if this was a mere insinuation or an inspired story to help the Congress or if there is more substance to it .<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
d. Enough with the rumor mongering<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Its been 48 hours since the story of alleged anti-Muslim Terrorism attributed to some Hindu groups has been doing the rounds. It is instructive to note that all the facts in this reportage so far are based on <b>unattributed</b> remarks to the Anti-Terrorism cell of the Maharashtra Police.

Let us trace the how the Malegaon, Modasa blasts stories have been reported, thanks to Google we can establish a clear timeline here.

<b>You had the apologists in CounterCurrents raise the bogey of Hindutva Terrorism on Oct 4th even before any investigations were launched.</b>

Then comes this story on Oct 22nd which Offstumped linked to with the first claims that Cops have cracked the Malegaon Blasts.

Since then roughly 45 news stories have made the rounds from demands for a ban on Bajarang Dal in Parliament to debates on Live Television on the root causes.

We have names, we have antecedents, we have links which started with ABVP and now morphed to VHP but all this while a serious gaping hole.

Here is the problem with this manufactured outrage - <b>There is not a single attributable remark to anyone in either the Maharashtra Police or the Maharashtra Government to actually go on record and say what has been leaked to the media.</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->It is now clear that the Communal Socialists in the media would not rest till the phrases “Hindu Terrorism”, “Hindutva Terrorism” and “Hindu Terrorists” gain enough currency to completely dilute India’s War on Terror and strategic response to Terrorism that swears by Islam and Jihad.
[...]<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
f. After the outrage comes the denial<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Pardon the formatting this comes from the blackberry. The times of india now carries a story released by the PTI late friday night, after 10pm to be precise quoting the Joint Commissioner of Police, Anti-Terrorism Squad Hemant Karkare.

It is interesting to note the title of this story which says “Malegaon blast suspects had founded 2 right wing outfits;ATS” is at odds with the text of the story, specifically the categorical clarifications of Mr. Karkare.

“There is no specific organisation to which the three belong though we have found pamphlets of the Jai Vande Mataram Jan Kalyan Samiti which Praggnya Singh founded in 2002″, Joint Commissioner of Police (ATS) Hemant Karkare.

“The Joint Commissioner denied they had found any links between the trio and other right wing groups”.

“Karkare declined to confirm if the trio was involved in the blast in Gujarat Modasa”.

“He denied there was any evidence to show that they were in involved in any previous blasts including Malegaon 2006″.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>Until further data comes my way <i>from reliable sources</i> (unreliable sources are discussed below), the following stuff posted earlier on IF is what my own preliminary perspective is based on:</b>

1. Christomedia
http://pseudosecularism.blogspot.com/2007/...-in-bharat.html
<b>What is media & who owns media in Bharat</b>
Excerpt:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->[...]
NDTV: A very popular TV news media is funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in Pakistan. Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, General Secretary of Communist party of India.

India Today: which used to be the only national weekly who supported BJP is now bought by NDTV!! Since then the tone has changed drastically and turned into Hindu bashing.

CNN-IBN: This is 100 percent funded by Southern Baptist Church with its branches in all over the world with HQ in US. The Church annually allocates $800 million for promotion of its channel. Its Indian head is Rajdeep Sardesai and his wife Sagarika Ghosh.

Times group list: Times Of India, Mid-Day, Nav-Bharth Times, Stardust, Femina, Vijaya Times, Vijaya Karnataka, Times now (24- hour news channel) and many more. Times Group is owned by Bennet & Coleman. "World Christian Council" does 80 percent of the Funding, and an Englishman and an Italian equally share balance 20 percent. The Italian Robertio Mindo is a close relative of Sonia Gandhi.

Star TV: It is run by an Australian, who is supported by St. Peters Pontificial Church Melbourne.

Hindustan Times: Owned by Birla Group, but hands have changed since Shobana Bhartiya took over. Presently it is working in Collobration with Times Group.
[...]

The Hindu: English daily, started over 125 years has been recently taken over by Joshua Society, Berne, Switzerland. Indian Express: Divided into two groups.

The Indian Express and new Indian Express (southern edition). Acts Ministries has major stake in the Indian Express and later is still with the Indian counterpart.
[...]
Andhra Jyothi: The Muslim party of Hyderabad known as MIM along with a Congress Minister has purchased this Telgu daily very recently.

The Statesman: It is controlled by Communist Party of India.
Kairal TV: It is controlled by Communist party of India (Marxist)

Mathrubhoomi: Leaders of Muslim League and Communist leaders have major investment.

Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle: Is owned by a Saudi Arabian Company with its chief Editor M.J. Akbar.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

2. Anti-BJP media. This is tangential, but interesting:
http://offstumped.nationalinterest.in/cate...nn-ibn-boycott/
31 Jul 2008
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Boycott CNN-IBN</b>

The BJP has announced a boycott of CNN-IBN for its refusal to air the tapes pertaining to the Cash for Votes Scandal.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Next day:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Ravindra August 1st, 2008 at 7:35 am</b>

Has this news come in any of the other channels? Atleast on the website of NDTV and Times Now, the news of the BJP boycott of CNN-IBN has been completely blacked out. Of course, I would not have expected any thing to appear on CNN-IBN itself

Its almost as if the boycott of a prominent media operator by the principal opposition party of the country is a non-event!

Such is this country’s free media!

I am beginning to think what Ot says in comment # 28 might be true!

<b>Jiggs August 1st, 2008 at 7:58 am</b>

NO not on any of the major networks or in the news papers, except IE:

BJP to boycott CNN-IBN

http://www.indianexpress.com/story/343069.html

They dont want one of their own to get flogged by the public, thats why no body is reporting.
<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
http://offstumped.nationalinterest.in/2008...oycott-cnn-ibn/
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>CNN-IBN Boycott - Many Sins</b>

Its been nearly 12 hours since the BJP announced its boycott of CNN-IBN, but the channel it appears lacks the intellectual courage to even acknowledge the boycott for its news value. But then we the consumers of news were foolish to believe that CNN-IBN was about Us. We just have to look at the vision statement expressed by Rajdeep Sardesai to realize that this was never about Us the consumers but always about them the Jholawallahs or as Rajdeep puts it in typical psuedo-intellecual fashion  - “editorial sovereignity”.
[...]
Offstumped Bottomline: That CNN-IBN has always been biased is not news. That CNN-IBN does not even care for a pretense of objectivity is not news. That CNN-IBN does not even believe in performance ethics or journalistic standards is not news. What is however news is that CNN-IBN thinks it can still survive as a viable business with this suicidal stance.This is an unprecedented stance by the principal Opposition against a media house in post emegency democratic India. It is unfathomable how CNN-IBN expects to survive if it doesnt dig itself out of the hole it finds itself in.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

While point 2. seems somewhat unrelated, I've included it here, since it gives some indication of how these christo media houses share an anti-BJP stance and will work together when the common objective is this important. More than the BJP, they are out to get Hindu Dharma: they want to be able to always refer to this situation to make everything "equal-equal". Whenever jihadis attack in future, they can continue to say terrorism has no religion, and then, in the same breath, that the Hindus deserved it since they bombed whatever Hindus are accused of having bombed now. Just like the christomedia outlets say that the train torching that led to Godhra and other islamoterrorist acts were 'only natural/understandable because of what happened to Babri Masjid'.
