This would be amusing were it not so funny. Here are the liberals of Europe excoriating BJP , as a Hindu nationalist party, a title which it hardly deserves IMO, and the sangh parivar for get this , truly equal treatrment of all religions, unlike the present situation where minority religions are given special privileges. But the same europe wants a reference (no less than 8 nations)to Christianity, faced as they are with an islamic demographic onslaught

8 Member Countries Want Christianity Reference in E.U. Constitution
Brussels, BELGIUM, October 27, 2003 - The number of the European Union (EU) member countries supporting a reference to Christianity in a proposed E.U. Constitution has increased from four to eight.
Discussions for a new E.U. Constitution are still ongoing at the Intergovernmental Conference. The E.U. term president, Italy, has reported that four more countries are supporting a reference to Christianity.
Italyâs Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi made a statement at the end of August declaring that Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Poland supported the reference.
Last week, the number increased to eight. The Czech Republic, Malta, Portugal, and Slovenia have added their support to the cause.
It was noted that these countries were still a minority in the Union, which will have 25 members as of May 1, 2004.
Reportedly, the inclusion of the reference in the Constitution is unlikely as France might use its veto power if support for the idea increases.
