Such a well reasoned and factual presentation of state of affairs can only come from an academician. I am not surprised that the 'sarkari journalists' are so well off, towing the ropes of the moneyed politicians. What India needs, besides a strong Lok Pal, is a re-think on election spending that reaches ridiculous level in India. Clearly, if you do not have a reserve of black money or a cash rich political party supporting you, one doesn't stand a chance to make it as a member of parliament or legislative assembly. If Anna is using anarchist methods to get the bill passed by the parliament, so be it, because that is the only hope India has. I am not at all surprised that Government is fighting tooth and nail to stop the bill from becoming a Law. Many of the prominent leaders would find themselves behind bars in short time as joint stake holders of crore's of money siphoned as a result of several scams that have rocked the country.
