Traitors And Anti-nationals In India!
Tall claims to a girlfriend is not a crime Add to Clippings

timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1173620.cms

The traitor PRITISH NANDY weighs in Salman's tape scandal..

This bast**ard goes on a tirade on BJP calling Fernades a traitor. Man! With anti-nationals like this, India deserves what it gets. It is a bad thought. But I hope [edited] and hopefullt, he will feel what is Salman Khan kind of people are worth...

I don't want people to click on this link and give any credibility to this bas**tard. I am reproducing the article here.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tall claims to a girlfriend is not a crime Add to Clippings

... if it were, we would all be guilty. Just as getting caught in pictures shot with thugs is a professional hazard all movie stars and politicians live with.

Secondly, no one knows as yet whether the tapes are genuine. If they are, there could be a case for investigation. But the question is: No one is ready to disclose the source of these tapes presumably because they are illegally recorded.

No one can eavesdrop on a telephone line without first seeking five levels of clearance under both ITA and MCOCA. This does not appear to have been done in this case.

Bangaru Laxman was caught on camera receiving a cash bribe and the BJP, who are the ones pointing a finger at Salman today, insisted that the tapes were digitally doctored.

Laxman was then the BJP party chief. Serious evidence was published in this newspaper, and later tabled in parliament, accusing George Fernandes of making money from defence deals, including coffins bought to bring back dead soldiers from the Kargil border.

But the same BJP that today calls Salman an anti-national were the first to defend George and claim that the evidence was fake and motivated.

If Bangaru and George were not anti-national after stealing money that was supposed to spent on the nation’s defence, how can drunken boasts and silly threats exchanged between lovers become clinching evidence of anti-nationalism? The truth is: There is a curious coalition of business interests and politics behind this.

A new newspaper launching in Mumbai needed a sensational story on its front page. So it dug up this four-year-old recording and published it.

It was salacious; it was exciting. It had the potential to sell copies. If the recording was genuine (or, for that matter, legally done) surely the police (who are the only ones allowed to record private conversations) would have taken action against Salman years ago.

But they did not do it. Instead the story helped a newspaper launch. It was almost simultaneously picked up by a TV channel with a pronounced BJP slant and known for carrying salacious video clips.

Next coincidence: All this happened on the very day a film featuring Salman was being premiered in the theatres. Thus enabling the lynch mobs to immediately demand that the film be banned and Salman arrested. No, they did not demand an investigation.

That came later. No, they did not ask who taped these private...

conversations and whether the appropriate sanctions were obtained, which would make them admissible as evidence in the courts. No, they did not even demand a check on their authenticity.

It was instant justice. In the kangaroo court of public opinion. The judge, the jury and the hangman was the same—the BJP and its cohorts.

Cheering on the sidelines was the media. In the age of MMS erotica and digital double takes, this is a dangerous trend. Remember the case of Anara Gupta, Miss Jammu?

She was picked up by the J&K police on mere suspicion that a porn video clip circulating on cell phones featured her. They publicly called her a whore, jailed her, hung her from a fan and beat her mercilessly for three days and nights demanding that she go before the TV cameras and confess that she was the person in the video. She refused.

Months later, after forensic investigations ordered by the court, it was proved that the clips were fake. But by that time her life was destroyed.

There are still over a hundred sites on the net featuring what they describe as the Anara Gupta tapes when everyone knows by now that she was totally innocent.

This is the power of the media and when it misused to sell copies or raise...
TRPs, common citizens get very seriously hurt. Our defamation laws are so weak and time consuming that there is virtually no way to stop the collateral damage.

And, as we all know, the political parties are waiting on the sidelines just for an opportunity like this to exploit. My concern is Salman has got the short end of the stick again not because he has committed any crime.

Talking nonsense to one’s girlfriend and making tall claims are not a crime. If it were, we would all be guilty. Just as getting caught in pictures shot with thugs is a professional hazard all movie stars and politicians live with.

By no stretch of imagination does it suggest that the two people seen together are jointly involved in a criminal conspiracy.

Every day on the sets of movies people turn up from all over the world to be photographed with stars. Does it prove culpability?

Not at all. Stupidity perhaps. But certainly not culpability. Yes, Salman Khan may be stupid. Many of us are when we fall in love.

This does not mean we are criminals. Or worse, anti-nationals. Eavesdropping and keyhole journalism—and I dare say, some degree of digital doctoring—can make virtually anything look dangerous.

That is why the law does not accept such evidence unless it goes through several layers of permissions and procedures.

If the law can be wise, why not the media? The media does not exist to make us into a nation of sick, depraved voyeurs. It exists to inform, educate, improve our lives.

In the case of Salman, this witch hunt has caused enough damage. It is now time for the media to back off and allow truth and justice to prevail.

PO Box 10654, Silver Spring, MD 20914.

MEMORANDUM TO THE HONORABLE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA

A very warm welcome and greetings to you Mr Prime Minister, on your state visit to U.S., from 150,000 Indian-American Muslims.

We congratulate you and the UPA Indian government on your completing a very successful one year. Indeed your government has brought good progress and improvement in several key areas, namely: economic development, communal harmony, law and order, international relations - including relations with U.S. As people of Indian origin it makes us very happy that India is making good over-all progress and is now respected the world over for its achievements.

We thank you:
We thank you for taking meaningful steps in several key areas that are important to the welfare of the Muslim community, namely:
(a). Revocation of the dreaded Indian law called the Prevention of Terrorist Activities (POTA) Act, which was very discriminatory towards the Muslim
community;
(b). Initiating a roll back of several undesirable changes in school text books, that were defamatory of the history of the Indian Muslims, and that were implemented by the National Council for Education - Review of Textbooks (NCERT) in the last few years; ©. Approving a policy to implement 50% reservation in seats for Muslim students at Aligarh Muslim University.

We request speedy action:
We request your favorable action on the following key problems/issues:
(a). The overall socio-economic condition of Muslims in India continues to be very bad; with about half of them living below poverty line, and more than half being very backward in education. We request you to implement reservation for Muslims in professional education institutions, which can enable them to obtain employment. We request you to implement reservation for Muslims in government and public sector jobs.
(b). Three years after the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat, no action has yet been taken against the culprits. We request that you implement an enquiry by a retired Supreme Court judge into the said carnage, and institute speedy trials for the culprits, including responsible senior officials of Gujarat government, in fast-track courts. Many victims are still in much need of rehabilitation and financial assistance so that they can stand on their own feet. Kindly provide for that as soon as possible.
(c ). The proportion of Muslims in the Indian police and armed services is less than 1% . We request you to implement a program to substantially increase the recruitment of Muslims in these government services.
(d). The number of Urdu language teachers in Urdu speaking parts of India is abysmally low. That is causing a large number of Muslim youth to loose their distinct heritage. We request you to implement a program to impart basic Urdu literacy to these students.
(e). The program of national integration between the religiously and ethnically diverse population of India, needs much more governmental emphasis, investment of physical and manpower resources, throughout India. We request you to significantly increase the budget, programs and authority of the National Integration Council.

Should be fully supported if Hon PM of India agrees to vacate his PM seat and make way for a Muslim PM. Same for the President of Congress party too - 50 years monoplized by one non-Muslim family. Otherwise why should any other Indian citizens make special sacrifices which are not applicable to the lawmakers themselves.

Is the text of POTA available anywhere on the net? I doubt POTA states advocates selective implementation of laws against any particular community.

IUML secretary held
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 17: Kerala Police have arrested the office secretary of the Indian Union Muslim League unit in Moovatupuzha for dishonouring the National Flag by tying it below the party flag. The incident created uproar in Moovatupuzha on Independence Day. The tricolour was found fluttering below the green party flag of the IUML in front of the local party office. The flag was untied late in the evening when RSS workers staged angry protests.

After Moovatupuzha MP and former union minister, Mr P. C. Thomas, demanded stringent action against the IUML leaders, the Ernakulam district collector asked the local revenue divisional officer to submit a report on the incident. The RDO reportedly informed the collector that the National Flag was dishonoured at the IUML party office. Police sources said that Hakeem, office secretary of the IUML in Moovatupuzha, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the incident. He was produced before the magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.

With the photo evidence Mudy produced, isn't it possible to ban IUML?

There was a similar incidence earlier at Kozhikode (Calicut) airport. The IUML workers remove Indian flag and hoisted IUML flag there when their minister was arriving from Gulf.

Take it to court and election commission with evidences that a poilitical party showing disrespect to national flag is not supposed to have representatives in national and state assemblies. I don't think Congress can do much about it.

AN OPEN LETTER TO JOHN DAYAL
FROM P.N.BENJAMIN,
Coordinator, Bangalore Initiative for Religious
Dialogue(BIRD)

Dear Mr. Dayal,

This has reference to your recent letter to the Honourable Prime Minister on the National Integration Coucil.

I would like to as you some genuine questions on the subject. Most of them are questioning your own integrity. So, do not get perturbed or try to evade answers. You are first of all no Holy Joe, Mr. Dayal.

Can one have integration without integrity? Where is your integrity? What is integrity of the people like you who talk about it, but keep quiet when everywhere the essence of integration is being deliberately destroyed by vested interests? Are you really interested in integration? And is integration only to be between Muslims, Christians and Dalits whom you have been using as cannon fodder for long for your vested interests, to occupy cushy positions as member of NCM and the like? Or should integration be widened to bring the whole of our neglected, despised India into the mainstream of the nation's activities, its hopes and its dreams?

Hindu-bashing, especially RSS/VHP/Bajrang Dal bashing, seems to be your only hobby. This business has been bringing you millions of dollars and invitations to umpteen seminars and consultations in Western countries. How can such a despicable character talk of national 'integration' when your personal integrity itself is under cloud?

Have you ever bothered about the hungry people with hunger pangs growing in their intestines when you enjoy your life in five-star surroundings and shed copious crocodile tears for the minority communities and Dalits? What is the use of talking about integration when the hungry cannot partake at your dinner table? Will you answer these questions, Mr. Dayal, here and now?

A struggle can be likened to an onion. You take it off layer by layer and sometimes you cry. This is the situation in India, the India of the poor, which is in ferment, stirring itself to challenge the chains of bondage that have seared their very souls over the years. They are fighting the carpetbaggers and the charlatans, like you, of this country.

Without integrity, without a deep and abiding commitment to the poor of the country, all talk of national integration is only a lot of bullshit.

We are passing through a crisis of unprecedented dimensions, symbolized by the collapse of values. Self-styled Christian leaders like you have emerged bereft of principles. Our national life has been polluted by the venality of the discredited men like you. You have therefore no moral right to talk of 'national integration'.

How Russia’s spies cultivated Indira Gandhi QUOTEIndrajit Hazra

What the KGB files have to say about its activities in India during the hoary Cold War years looks only slightly more sinister than Russian Matryoshka dolls — or for that matter the mink coat that Kruschev gifted Indira Gandhi in 1955 to “cultivate” her so as to influence her father. With the publication of the second part of the material culled from the files of former KGB officer Vasili Mitrokhin — first made available for a public gaze in 1999 — one can now safely guess who the foreign hand behind Mrs Gandhi’s ‘foreign hand’ was: the KGB.

In two chapters of The Mitrokhin Archive II: The KGB And The World, the authors, Mitrokhin and intelligence scholar Christopher Andrew, unveil not so much the Soviet Union’s success as the puppet-master of India and the Congress Party between the Fifties and Eighties, but of the secret service’s role in influencing Mrs Gandhi growing belief that became a full-blown paranoia about the CIA being behind everything going awry in the country and posing a threat to her very life.

The KGB’s activities in India are seen to be pretty much restricted in the field of subsidising election campaigns and forging documents (to play up the ‘involvement’ of the CIA in matters ranging from fomenting unrest in Assam and the Northeast to encouraging Sikh separatism). The only name that crops up as being a direct recepient of KGB money is that of the Congress principal fundraiser, Lalit Narayan Mishra, whose death the KGB successfully convinced Mrs Gandhi to have been a CIA hit-job.

What the archives unveil is a lot of KGB bragging. “We had scores of sources throughout the Indian government — in intelligence, counter-intelligence, the Defence and Foreign Ministries and the Police,” the former Soviet head of counter-intelligence Oleg Kalugin is quoted as saying.

There are colourful nuggets about how Indira Gandhi, on her first trip to the Soviet Union in 1953, was kept "under continuous surveillance" and surrounded by "handsome, attentive male admirers". But no real evidence of Indian leaders being in KGB pockets.

The book does confirm Soviet money subsidising many election campaigns (nine — unnamed — Congress candidates in the January 1977 polls were supposedly KGB agents).

In 1975, 10.6 million rubles were said to have been spent to firm up Mrs Gandhi's support and to undermine her opponents.

The book also mentions Leonid Shebarshin, who served in the Indian 'residency' in the mid-Seventies, claiming credit for using "agents of influence" to persuade Mrs Gandhi to declare Emergency. This, the authors believe, like most of the other claims, are greatly exaggerated.

Less fanciful are the claims of the KGB's success in penetrating the Indian media. According to KGB files, by 1973, ten Indian newspapers were on its payroll (not identified by the authors for legal reasons) "as well as a press agency under its control".

While most of them were standard America-bashing, CIA-is-everywhere articles, there were some more fanciful ones — like the one that first appeared in the Patriot in 1984 and picked up by the rest of the world about the Aids virus having been "manufactured" during genetic engineering experiments in a military camp in Maryland.

If anything, The Mitrokhin Archive II tells us this: "The KGB was more successful than the CIA partly because of its skill in exploiting the corruption which became endemic under Indira Gandhi's regime."

Clearly something that we need not worry about any more considering that the days of the Cold War — if not of corruption — are over

Let's see what Indian spy say about Mitrokhin. We will know whether Raman is/was on payroll.
THE MITROKHIN MYSTERY---PART I- by B.RamanQUOTEAccording to KGB files, by 1973 it had ten Indian newspapers on its payroll as well as a press agency under its control. During 1972 alone, the KGB claimed to have planted 3,789 articles in newspapers there. There’s no question the Soviets outmatched the Americans in this regard. And these types of active measures were an important and very effective component of the KGB’s efforts to persuade credulous third world leaders that the CIA was plotting against them. Another less sinister example of the continuities from that era to this is the appointment last year of Vyacheslav Trubnikov as the new Russian Ambassador to India . How did he make his reputation? Less than a generation ago he was the KGB head of political intelligence in Russia . So the guy who used to run KGB intelligence during the Soviet era is now Putin’s Ambassador in New Delhi . Every continent in the world, or at least some part of every continent, still bears the imprint of the Cold War rivalry between the two superpowers." (25-9-05) To be continued

Activists testify as US Congress takes up Indian human rights

I strongly suspect that Christian missionaries are behind this and we should expect UPA to pass legislation favoring them or do some thing very helpful for them.

Few things we should expect are:
* Reservation for dalit christians
* A comprehensive law banning anti-conversion law in states
* Special rights or tax benefits for minority charities and religious organizations
* More and long term visas for missionaries
* Something that can damage Sangh Parivar and its anti-missionary activities

QUOTEA lecture was given in Houston’s Rothko Chapel by this traitor last night. About 60 people were present, most of them do-gooder type whites who are disenchanted with their own religion and are seeking answers from Hinduism. There were also about 10 Indians out of which one was 100% secular type who happens to be one of the directors of the Rothko Chapel, which sponsored this knave's trip. He was probably the mastermind behind the whole idea of getting the Swami in Houston. Then, there were two Indians who were 100% Gandhian and would never want to declare themselves to be Hindu. The rest of the 7 Indians were pro Hindu whose main intent was to "expose" the fake "swami".

Probably anticipating some kind of "trouble" from the Hindus types, the organizer had enlisted the services of an armed policeman. It is not clear if the policeman is a regular feature of such functions at the Rothco Chapel. However, it is quite conceivable that, following phone calls to the organizers prior to the event asking them to cancel the lecture, the organizers had got the police at the behest of the Swami that he would need “protection” from Hindu extremists.

As the Swami opened his mouth and started to speak, most Hindus could not believe what they were hearing. There was nothing spiritual or religious about this lecture. This guy is not only anti-Hindu, but also he is also anti-India. He spoke for over one hour and, under the guise of spirituality and flaunting his saffron garb as his cover, all he did was spew venom against India, and the Hindus. He gave exaggerated and unbelievable figures of bride burning, dowry related crimes, children dying daily of starvation in India, the plight of bonded laborers, the caste system, racial discrimination, poverty, etc. To a layman or anyone who is not familiar with India, he painted an extremely negative picture of India. Many jaws dropped as he stressed that when we think of terrorism and 9/11, we must realize that only 3,800 people died whereas we must not overlook real terrorism in India where THOUSAND of children die DAILY due to starvation and where minimum wage is less than a dollar per day and grave injustice prevails in the bonded labor system.

At the request of the pro Hindu members of the audience, the organizer had allowed a 15 minute “Question – Answer+ session which was a sham. The swami gave long winding answers, which took up most of the time and prevented the real Hindus from asking questions. Five questions were asked, out of which three were from Americans and two from Indians. The first question from an Indian, Lal Sardana, was how come swami did not focus on the positive attributes of Hinduism? Sardana made specific reference to Shri Ram’s meeting with the “Bhilni” and eating her half eaten offerings. The swami bulldozed the question altogether and rattled on about something totally irrelevant. The 2nd question was from the Arya Samaj Acharya who asked a pointed question about Swami’s legal case but failed to attack the swami openly which would have help expose the scoundrel.

A reception followed the lecture where there was one on one meeting with the swami. The Hindus were visibly angry. Swami was confronted with statements like “Why are you wearing Swami Vivekanand’s garb when you are not even a Hindu? You are fooling the world, who is behind you, who is financing your anti India crusade, etc”. When all were walking out of the chapel, the armed policeman walked up quickly to the group. He probably expected a “Gujarat” on this SOB.

Folks, this guy is doing grave damage to the image of India. He is spreading misinformation and is lowering the image of India. He must be stopped.

This is just a quick write up; as I do not have the time to go into details I am leaving for an overseas trip and have to rush now. I am sure others who were present will put in their inputs & more details will hopefully follow.
