BJP Future - 7
In TN, BJP will not get even one seat. If it comes second in five seats that will be an achievement. Sorry for being blunt. However, one thing to the credit of TN BJP, they are the most visible folks and hard working as far as in the states where BJP does not exist.
The proof is in the pudding. TN BJP might have an uphill battle against the dravidian parties....I grant them that much. They have a great glass ceiling to break. Irrespective of the dravidian parties, bulk of the TN people are religious, pious and superstitious (just like other parts of the country).

On what basis do you say they are hard working? TN BJP website wants me to throw up.

Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, who was a member of the Committee headed by the Prime Minister and had opposed Thomas' selection in writing, said she would file an affidavit in the Supreme Court to "set the record straight".

Swaraj said she had personally brought to the notice of the Prime Minister and Home Minister P Chidambaram, the other two members of the selection panel, the "fact" about charges of corruption against Thomas in two-decade-old Palmolein import case in Kerala but they had "persisted" with his appointment.

"It is not at all true. It is a mis-statement... The government is speaking one untruth after another untruth," the BJP leader told reporters.

"There is one falsehood after another falsehood, one baseless statement after another baseless statement," said Swaraj, who had put on record her dissent to Thomas' choice. http://indiatoday.intoday.in/site/articl...27904.html

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday won all the five seats in byelections held in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh, dealing a psychological blow to the Congress. The Congress, already facing a hard time, also tasted defeat at the hands of Trinamool Congress — its UPA ally — in Manipur. http://www.dailypioneer.com/318642/BJP-w...-Cong.html

The real setback for the Congress came in Madhya Pradesh where it lost the Kukshi seat, held by Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi, to the BJP after 21 years. The veteran Congress leader passed away recently, necessitating the byelection, and her niece Nisha Singhar was the Congress nominee this time. BJP’s Mukam Singh Kirade, husband of Madhya Pradesh Minister Ranjana Singh Baghel, defeated Nisha by a margin of over 16,000 votes.

The BJP also won the byelection to the Sonkatch Assembly constituency, with party nominee Rajendra Verma defeating Arjun Verma of Congress by over 19,000 votes. The BJP wrested this seat from Congress after a gap of 15 years.

Dream on. These guys have no grace and never exit. Question therefore is: Will the BJP as a party stand up and show him the door?

WB : TC is winning; only thing that matters now is seat distribution to INC

Kerala : INC is winning

Puducherry: INC is winning

Assam : Chances of INC winning is very bright as AGP & BJP are not putting the a coalition this time. BJP will increase its tally to some very good

numbers. Also INC is spending a lot of money in getting AGP leaders to go "easy".

TN : Only state where there is a see-saw. In urban areas, DMK-INC has got lot of negative sentiment. INC usually fights in urban areas, so the

loss might be more to them. But the "money & muscle" power might help them in at least 90 constituencies.

So from the result day onwards, Nehru Dynasty TV, Congress News Network, HT etc will say that Prime Minister & Congress party has acted on corruption and nation has accepted their action. Also the media will say that RG has played a good amount of work in Puducherry, Kerala & Assam. INC believes that it will overcome the negative press & general disappointment after the 5 state assembly election.

Nationalists, people who care about the nation should not get dismayed after the results and should keep the focus on the issues and work.

These result are on expected lines. The main question is the strenth of INC in UP AP and Maharashtra. Also if there are more revelations of scams etc. The main setback would be Assam. The opposition had a good chance to defeat Congress. But if AGP is bikau then BJP has a chance to grow. If it gets 15-20 seats, it will be great. WB is Mamata show. Kerala was expected. Only question mark is TN.

The formation of JPC is also good. But based on the reports in Outlook they have already decided what will happend. Raja in dock and MMS gets away lightly.

BJP obviously will do things like Advani to puncture its own campaign. Advani should just retire gracefully. Creating more problems than adding value.

My point is the country is looking for younger leaders; people like Advani have to take Chanakaya types of role - work from behind the scenes. Hopefully they have the wisdom to assess themselves and do what is right for the country and part.

Secularism is the modern face of the asuric hoards.

Advani, the shameless apologist of secularism indulges in his harangue again. (Read the following news item). First of all when he gathered lakhs of people by his Rath Yathra to the venue of Babri Masjid, can he say to the world what he was trying to do there?

I think he has completely lost his balance because the case against him is getting reopened in the SC. So much for his courage and conviction!

Babri demolition dented BJP's image: Advani

NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader L K Advani on Sunday said that he felt the demolition of the Babri mosque in 1992 had "badly dented" the credibility of his party.

Recalling a newspaper article he had written a fortnight after the demolition, he said that while describing the genesis of evolution of Ayodhya movement, he had said that the day the disputed structure was pulled down was the saddest day of his life.

In the latest post on his blog, Advani said that some colleagues had criticised him for that statement saying, "Why he was being apologetic about the development?"

Advani said he had replied, "I am not at all apologetic. Indeed, I am proud of my association with the Ayodhya movement. But I am extremely sad that our party's credibility has been badly dented by the happenings of December 6."

He recalled that he had written in his article that organisations involved in the movement could be faulted for not being able to judge the impatience of the people participating in it.

"I felt sad that a meticulously drawn up plan of action, where under the UP government was steadily marching forward towards discharging its mandate regarding temple construction without violating any law or disregarding any court order had gone awry (because of the demolition)."

"If the exercise contemplated had now been short-circuited in a totally unforeseen manner, the organisations involved in the movement can be faulted for not being able to judge the impatience of the people participating in the movement, but they were certainly not responsible for what happened that day," Advani recalled as having stated in the article.

Excerpt from the wikileaks on vote-buying to save Manmohan Govt. on the nuclear deal:

"Sharma (Captain Satish Sharma, a Congress Party MP in the Rajya Sabha) said that PM Singh and others were trying to work on the Akali Dal (8 votes) through financier Sant Chatwal and others, but unfortunately it did not work out. He mentioned that efforts to encourage Shiv Sena (12 votes) to abstain were on-going. While different Congress operatives were working on different groups of MPs, Sharma said that Rahul Gandhi was personally working Omar NEW DELHI 00001972 003 OF 004 Abdullah’s Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (J&KNC), whose two MPs are inclined to vote in favor of the UPA. Sharma mentioned that he was also exploring the possibility of trying to get former Prime Minister Vajpayee’s son-in-law Ranjan Bhattacharya to speak to BJP representatives to try to divide the BJP ranks."

"PM Singh publicly acknowledged trying to get the BJP to support the nuclear initiative by reaching out to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, but Vajpayee reportedly deferred to opposition leader L.K. Advani to make the call." (of course he left it for his son-in-law to do the opposite!)

"Media quoted Rahul Gandhi on July 16 as saying, “”I support the PM 100 percent on the nuke deal. We are going to win the trust vote, but even if the government falls, so be it.”" He also claimed the BJP was divided over the nuclear initiative, saying, “”There are people in the BJP who support the deal and do not know why their party is opposing it.”

Yes, he did. We had a long conversation over the phone. I am going to Delhi to meet him on March 24.

I want to be in national politics and want to work on one issue --development that reaches the people, not just the slogan.

If their idea of development matches mine, and if there is a room for collaboration, and if we can work together together ideologically, I will consider (aligning with the BJP). That is the whole idea behind the meeting.
